Simon – Case Study

Simon’s transformation was long over due. I sporadically had conversations with Simon over the course of about 3 years. We regularly spoke about what he wanted to achieve and I would offer advice on how he could achieve it. But unfortunately for Simon it was never the right time. There was always something coming up or work was busy or he had too much on his plate to fully commit.

Then one day he finally decided to himself that he was just going to do it. Life wasn’t quieter, he didn’t have less responsibilities, it still wasn’t “the right time” he just said to himself that he if kept waiting it would never happen.

We got started. There were some initial barriers to overcome as he didn’t want to be cooking in bulk or making meals more than once per day. So, we built a plan around things he could grab on the go or eat that didn’t require cooking. We dialled his protein up to help his muscles recover from an intensity of training that he wasn’t used to and we got his calories consistent. We focused on correcting his form in his lifts and getting him stronger each week. We again used Fullbody workouts, 2 of which he did with me, and he also did a 3rd one on his own to make use of the gym membership he’d be paying for and not utilising.

4 months later he’s the same weight but now his body fat is 10% lower than when he started and he’s frantically increased his muscle, strength, energy and confidence. All of this without having to cook more than one meal per day (which most of the time was probably in the microwave)

The one thing he regrets is putting off for 3 years, and letting life’s excuses get in the way, because when he finally committed everything changed.
